ALAO

ALAO is a DJ and producer whose sound is rooted in Afro House, combining powerful tribal percussion, Latin-inspired grooves, and subtle Middle Eastern influences into energetic, dancefloor-driven performances.

His journey into DJ culture began at a young age through a fascination with technology, music, and the mechanics behind DJing itself. What started as curiosity quickly evolved into a passion, leading him to spend years developing his skills and immersing himself in the electronic music scene. Early in his career, he gained recognition through the Hit Radio Master DJ competition in Morocco, earning a Top 10 finish while representing his region on a national stage.

In 2014, ALAO stepped away from music to focus on higher education, international relocation, and building a professional career. Although the project remained on hold for nearly a decade, the connection to music never disappeared. His return was driven by a clear purpose: to build a long-term artistic project centered around the sound that resonated with him the most—Afro House.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as HUGEL, Aaron Sevilla, Grossomoddo, and Keinemusik, ALAO’s musical identity is shaped by infectious percussion, Latin rhythms, uplifting energy, and cultural influences that naturally find their way into his productions and performances. Whether behind the decks or in the studio, his focus remains the same: creating a recognizable sound that connects people through rhythm, emotion, and movement.

Today, ALAO is actively developing his catalog of original productions while expanding his presence as a DJ, with the ambition of establishing a distinctive voice within the global Afro House scene.
